Yesterday the wee mite and I went out and about with no plan. First we landed at the park. All the swings were taken, so we walked the path around the whole park, looking for a duck creek. We stopped at the skate park and watched the boys do tricks. It was fascinating. I'd never stopped to do that before. It reminded me of Simon Pegg in "Spaced." The little voice in my head stood first at a safe distance away, but then we ended up right at the little gate with our arms over, watching raptly. I said, "They're so brave." To which she replied, "Of course. Teenage boys aren't afraid of anything."
When we were walking away, she said, "Now that's something amusing. And it's a good show that we don't have to pay money for tickets."
